Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake Superior are the four other Great Lakes that can be found in the province of Ontario.

When traveling across Canada, it is imperative that you spend some time in the province of Ontario, and the locations listed here are among the very best that the province has to offer.

I can confidently say that Niagara Falls is on par with the very greatest of them. The fact that a city has been developed around Niagara Falls is one of the things that gives it its distinctive character.

The Big Nickel in Sudbury

Roadside attractions are very popular in Canada. There is the Big Apple in Colborne, which may be seen as you travel east on Route 401 toward Montreal or Ottawa.

There is also the Big Paddle in British Columbia, as well as the Canada Goose in Wawa.

However, the Big Nickel in Sudbury is my personal favorite. The Big Nickel, which was constructed in 1964 as a memorial to the mining industry that existed in the region, can be found at the Dynamic Earth Science Museum, which is a lot of fun to visit.

Cheltenham Badlands

Several years ago, Dave and I were cycling outside of Toronto in the town of Caledon when we came upon this peculiar event. There was no one there, and at that point, we had no idea it even existed.

It is currently common practice among photographers. It is a stretch of land that is reminiscent of the Badlands in South Dakota or Alberta.

The exposure of this red piece of shale, which resulted in the creation of a landscape resembling the moon, was the result of terrible environmental policies.

Here are the details of all the required documents, process time, fee, and process of applying for a Canada visa for Australian citizens.

Diefenbunker

There is little question that the Diefenbunker is one of the most unusual museums in all of Ontario. During the height of the Cold War, this subterranean museum was constructed as a safe haven for prominent Canadians to use in the event of a nuclear attack.

It was designed to survive the effects of a nuclear explosion and is situated in a strategic location outside of Ottawa. When you see abandoned computer rooms, eerie living quarters, and even medical rooms, it’s like walking back into a time capsule.

After taking a tour of the Deifenbunker, you may come to the conclusion that you would prefer not to be the person required to take shelter here in the event of an assault. I’d rather take my chances in the open air.

Niagara on the Lake

While you’re in the area to see Niagara Falls, be sure to make your way down the road and check out the Niagara on the Lake wine region in Ontario. It is a wonderful weekend retreat from Toronto, thanks to its historic downtown.
